I would like to change many things in the study program. First, I think that the duration of the career it should be less because I feel that 5 years it´s very much and as a future Journalists we need more practice than theory in the classroom. The journalism skills can be improved practicing, not staying locked in a classroom.
Secondly, I must say that the faculty should allow early on an area of specialization because all have plans to dedicate to different areas related to journalism such as public relations or sports journalism, among other options available around communications, and for that reason I think that it would be prudent to help future Journalists from the beginning to know and learn more about the area they are interested in.
Regarding the infrastructure of the faculty, I think it fulfills its purpose, however, everything can be better. For example, I think it would be necessary to invest in cameras and in everything related to audiovisuals because as I said in the first point, learning goes hand in hand with practice, therefore, it is illogical to learn to record journalistic articles without having the necessary number of devices that allow everyone to be able to use them simultaneously.
To sum up, I must say that the tools that the university, and specifically the faculty, provides us with are good, but they can be improved.
I agree with your opinion, more practice than theory is necessary, and also more audiovisual equipment
